Questions, answered

Everything customers, brides, students and stockists ask us — about ordering and delivery in Bengaluru, natural-henna safety, our products, bridal bookings, the training batches, wholesale, and returns. Can't find it? message us on WhatsApp.

Ordering & Delivery

+How do I pay for an order?

At checkout you pay by UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm or any UPI app) or card. For UPI you'll see a Pay now button and a QR code with the amount filled in — pay, then send us the screenshot on WhatsApp. We verify it and confirm your order. Nothing is auto-charged, and you're never asked for card details over chat.

+How long does delivery take in Bangalore?

Same day. We hand-roll and pack in New Gurappana Palya, BTM 1st Stage, and deliver across Bengaluru — BTM Layout, Jayanagar, JP Nagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Indiranagar, Whitefield and everywhere in between — the same day you order. Order by early afternoon for most of the city, or by noon for the far north, west and Whitefield edge. Self-pickup from the studio is free. Outside Bengaluru, courier delivery is 2–5 days.

+Do you ship outside Bangalore?

Yes — we ship across India. Timelines vary by location, typically 3–7 days. Henna stains best when fresh, so we roll and dispatch close to your order date.

+I need cones for a function on a certain date — how far ahead should I order?

For a normal order, 3–4 days ahead is comfortable. For a wedding or a large event, order about a week ahead so the cones arrive fresh and you have time for a 48-hour patch test. Message us the date and we'll make sure it works.

+Can I pick up my order myself?

Yes, from the studio in BTM 1st Stage, Bengaluru, by appointment. Choose self-pickup at checkout and we'll confirm a time on WhatsApp.

+How do I track my order?

Sign in and open My Orders to see the status. Once a local delivery or courier is arranged we share the details with you directly on WhatsApp.

Henna & Safety

+Is your henna natural?

Our standard henna cones and hair henna are hand-rolled from plant henna (Lawsonia inermis) with sugar, lemon and essential oils — no ammonia, no metallic salts, no synthetic dye, no kerosene. This describes our ingredients and process, not a third-party certification; the full ingredient list is on each product page and we can share supplier declarations on request. Always patch-test. Our faster "instant" cone and dip are a separate range — ask us for their ingredient list, and choose the standard organic cones if you want a product we describe as natural, with no synthetic dye, PPD, ammonia or metallic salts.

+Do you sell black henna?

Never. "Black henna" contains PPD (a hair-dye chemical) and causes chemical burns, scarring and lifelong allergy. Natural henna is never black — it stains orange first and deepens to brown-maroon over 24–48 hours.

+How do I do a patch test?

Apply a small dot of paste on your inner forearm, let it dry and leave it for a few hours, then scrape it off. Wait 48 hours. If there's no itching, redness or swelling, you're fine to use it. Do this before any bridal application.

+How do I get the darkest possible stain?

Apply on clean, oil-free skin. Leave the paste on for 6–8 hours (overnight for bridal). Scrape it off dry — don't wash it. Seal with our aftercare oil or balm, keep the area warm, and avoid water for the first 24 hours. The colour keeps deepening for up to two days.

+Is natural henna safe during pregnancy?

Pure plant henna is generally considered low-risk for skin application, but everyone is different — please check with your doctor, and always patch test. Avoid anything sold as "black" or "instant black" henna entirely.

Products

+How long do the henna cones last?

Best within about 3–4 weeks of rolling for the darkest stain. Keep them in the fridge (not the freezer) in an airtight bag; bring to room temperature before use. Older cones still work but the colour is lighter.

+Which product do I use for hair?

Our herbal hair henna — it's herbal henna powder made without synthetic dye, ammonia or PPD, gentle on sensitive scalps. The body-art cones are for skin designs, not hair.

+What's the difference between organic and instant henna cones?

Organic cones give the deepest, longest-lasting colour but need 4–8 hours on the skin. Instant cones and dip are formulated to lift a usable colour in about 30 minutes — handy for last-minute designs, less deep than a full overnight stain. Because they work faster than a standard cone, patch-test first and ask us for the ingredient list.

+Do I need aftercare products?

They make a real difference to how dark and long-lasting the stain is. The aftercare oil darkens and nourishes, the balm is a portable seal, and the sealant spray is a no-touch finish for full bridal hands. Any one of them helps.

+What sizes do the reusable mehndi stencils come in?

Kids, Medium, Large and Premium (full-hand). Kids and Medium suit single motifs and small hands, Large covers the back of an adult hand, and Premium is a full-hand layout.

Bridal Mehndi

+How do I book bridal mehndi?

Send your wedding date, venue and a couple of design references on WhatsApp. We check availability and send a written quote. Book 2–3 months ahead for peak dates (November–February and around Karva Chauth).

+How much does bridal mehndi cost?

Most brides pay between ₹5,000 and ₹25,000 depending on coverage (hands only vs hands, feet and full arms), design density and the season. We give a written quote after a quick chat about your functions.

+When is bridal mehndi applied?

Usually two days before the main event. Henna keeps deepening for 24–48 hours after the paste comes off, so applying two days ahead means the stain peaks on your wedding day.

+Can you do the family and guests too?

Yes. We plan the whole function — the bride first, then mothers and sisters, then a station for the wider party — with enough artists for your headcount.

Classes & Training

+Do I need experience to join a henna class?

No. The 20-day batch starts from paste-making and cone control and builds to bridal-level hands and feet. Complete beginners and working artists both attend.

+Is a kit and certificate included in the class fee?

Yes — practice cones, design sheets and materials for the batch are part of the fee. You also get an informal Hennaya completion certificate at the end. It marks that you finished the training; it isn't an accredited or government-recognised qualification, and none is needed to work as a mehndi artist in India.

+I'm from out of town — can I still attend?

Often people do. Many take the intensive batch and stay nearby in BTM or Jayanagar for the duration. Message us and we'll help with options.

Wholesale

+What's the minimum order for wholesale cones?

It depends on the product and your throughput. We keep the entry point low so a working artist can start with a manageable batch, then scale. Message us your monthly usage and we'll quote a minimum and a per-unit price.

+Do you do private-label / custom-branded cones?

Yes, for regular bulk orders. Packaging and branding are quoted separately. Send us your volume and what you have in mind.

Returns & Refunds

+Can I return henna cones?

Henna is a consumable applied to skin, so opened or used cones can't be returned for hygiene reasons. If an order arrives damaged, leaked or is wrong, message us within 48 hours with photos and we'll replace it or refund it.

+Can I cancel an order?

Yes, while it's still unpaid or not yet dispatched — open the order in My Orders and cancel, or message us. Once cones are rolled and on the way we can't cancel.
